Subscription Specialist German (min. 16u/w)
All phones and providers in one place.
At Belsimpel, we go to great lengths for all our customers and in every situation. We want to distinguish ourselves by the service we offer and we do this by applying our family mindset. Helping customers, like you would help your own family. We now work with a team of more than 150 highly educated, driven students and young professionals. Together, we ensure that every customer is treated in the best possible way. With the international brand Gomibo we want to change the entire European mobile market, starting with Germany.
What will you do as a Gomibo Subscription Specialist?
In this role, you make sure German customers can start using their mobile subscription as quickly as possible. Together with an enthusiastic team of students at our office, you check customer details, select the right subscription and make sure everything in our system matches the provider’s system. This way, you help customers get connected smoothly and quickly.
You work behind the scenes in the Subscription team. Around one third of your time is spent on customer contact by email and phone. You make sure every subscription starts on the customer’s preferred date and contact the provider if any issues come up during activation. You carefully check all details, for example to make sure customers can keep their current phone number. And because orders placed before 23:59 are delivered the next day, you work accurately and at a fast pace.
When customers have questions about their application, number portability or invoice, you make sure they receive a clear and honest answer. We do not work with sales targets or sales tricks. You think along with the customer, ask the right questions and get to the core of the issue.
Once you have mastered the level 1 tasks, you can grow to the next level. This means extra responsibilities, such as solving issues with number portability requests and invoice problems. Taking the next step does not only bring new challenges, but also an increase in salary.
A difficult case? No problem. Together with your colleagues, you will find the right solution. By going the extra mile, you make sure the customer stays satisfied.

What does the Subscription Team look like?
Every day of the week, from early to late, the Subscription Team works hard to ensure customers can start using their mobile subscription as quickly as possible. You can easily combine your hours with your studies, as the team is active 7 days a week between 9:00 and 23:30. Together with a large group of ambitious students, you make sure every subscription is processed accurately and on time.
Within the team, you will become an expert in everything related to mobile subscriptions. You check customer applications, process number portability requests, coordinate with providers and help customers with questions about their subscription, invoice or activation. As you gain experience, you will take on more complex cases and responsibilities. In this role, you will develop analytical, communication and problem-solving skills that will benefit you throughout your career.
This is what your day could look like
After college, you cycle to our office on the Grote Markt. When you arrive, your colleagues welcome you and you catch up about the weekend. After hanging up your coat, you grab a coffee and take a seat with your team. It promises to be a busy but rewarding day. Many new subscription orders have come in, and together with your colleagues you make sure everything is processed correctly and on time.
You start by reviewing new applications and checking whether all customer details are complete. Later, you contact a customer to clarify some details needed for a number portability request and answer a few customer emails about subscription activations. Throughout the day, you work closely with your colleagues to solve challenges and ensure every customer receives a clear and honest answer.
At the end of your shift, you shut down your computer knowing that hundreds of customers are one step closer to using their new subscription. And because it's Friday, it's time for the VrijMiBo (Friday afternoon drinks)! Together with your colleagues, you head to the roof terrace to enjoy a drink and celebrate another successful week.
What does the application procedure look like?
You can apply until July 5. Applying after this deadline is also fine but you will be part of the group for next month. After submitting your application, we will review it carefully. We may contact you by phone in the meantime to ask a few additional questions.
The interviews will take place between June 15 and July 10. After the interviews, we discuss all candidates internally. You will then receive feedback from us.
If you are offered the position, you will start on 17 July with an extensive onboarding program where you will be trained to become a specialist. The training sessions mainly take place on Monday evenings. You will work a maximum of 16 hours per week, and even during the training weeks you can plan your hours flexibly.

Eventually, you can move up to the role of coordinator, where you will be helping colleagues with difficult issues or training and coaching new colleagues.
Besides growing within your own function, working in customer service is a good basis to grow into another (study-related) function within Belsimpel, either during or after your studies.
