As Gomibo Platforms, we are the only company in the world that offers a commerce software platform that is specifically built for telecom companies. With this, we are on a very serious mission to change something in the telecom world. The foundation was laid at Belsimpel, the largest telecom reseller in the Netherlands. The software that made Belsimpel’s success possible, we now offer as an international Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution.


What do you do as an Account Executive?

To achieve the growth objectives of our SaaS product, we are looking for an enthusiastic Account Executive to strengthen our dynamic team. In doing so, you will hold conversations with the key stakeholders of large telecom companies and attend international conferences. In this role, you show the value of our e-commerce platform to potential customers, and you are not afraid to pioneer, because our sales department is still growing rapidly.

In this role, you are, among other things, responsible for:

Sales strategy and execution

  • Developing and implementing strategic sales plans for telecom companies. The average sales cycle in the market where we offer our platform is 18 months, so it is a complex process.

  • Taking the lead in sales processes and coaching colleagues in the field of sales. In doing so, you have in-depth insight into the unique needs and potential bottlenecks of prospective customers, like no one else.

  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline. You are in the lead here, from cold outreach to closing deals, and from negotiations to ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.

Relationship management

  • Building and maintaining relationships with the key decision-makers within telecom companies. You do this both from our office in Groningen and at (international) conferences.

  • Understanding the customer’s needs and providing consultative sales support, using in-depth knowledge of the telecom industry that you build over time with the help of colleagues.

Reporting and forecasts

  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions and opportunities in our CRM system, HubSpot. In addition, you are also responsible for updating sales and revenue forecasts.

Who are you?

  • You have completed an HBO or WO degree;

  • You have at least 2-7 years of experience in a commercial role and you are interested in IT;

  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • You have experience or interest in the telecom sector and are eager to deepen your knowledge of it;

  • You are willing to travel (internationally) on a monthly basis to potential customers and international conferences;

  • You are willing to work from our head office in Groningen at least 3 days per week;

  • You ask sharp questions, you are proactive and you know how to enthuse colleagues with your passion for sales.
