What happens when you apply for a job with us?

We would like to explain to you what we think is important and what you can expect once you have applied for a job with us!

The most important thing for us is that there is a clear match between you and Belsimpel. That is why the application process often consists of several rounds. This may sound a bit intensive, but it doesn't mean that the process takes a lot of time. We do this to get to know you as well as possible and to introduce you to different colleagues. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions at several points, about both the position and the company culture. We deliberately pay a lot of attention to our application period, in order to minimise the chance that it will turn out not to be a match after all.

At Belsimpel we always go above and beyond, also when it comes to new colleagues. We only look for the 9s and 10s. That's why we deliberately don't work with strict deadlines, rounds, or starting dates, but rather wait until we've found the right person. We like to do things our own way and do not work with standard letters of motivation. Have you already written one? Then you can always attach it. Also good to know: when you apply, we not only look at the position you applied for, but also at whether there are other vacancies that may be a better match.

Below, we have outlined the general guidelines of our application process for you. Depending on the position and the process, your application procedure may deviate from these.

Procedure fulltime functions, traineeships, and graduation projects

1. Application

You upload your CV, fill in the questions and press send. We will also ask for a transcript of your grades to get the full picture. Once your application is complete, we will contact you as soon as possible, usually within a week.

2. Interview by telephone

Following your application, you will be called by Team Recruitment and Selection for a number of additional questions. Based on all the elements, we will decide whether to invite you for a first interview.

3. First interview

The first meeting is an orientation meeting with the aim of getting to know you better. Of course you have the opportunity to ask all your questions and find out if Belsimpel really suits you! This interview is often only with colleagues from Team Recruitment and Selection.

4. Second interview

During the second interview, we discuss the content in more depth. Often, a colleague who is involved in the position will join in, so that you can get an even better idea of the team and the work. This interview is almost always combined with an assessment.

5. Third interview

We schedule a third interview to make sure we have really found the right match between you and Belsimpel. Usually, one of the two founders of Belsimpel will also join in.

6. Contract proposal

We really want you to join our team! We will let you know over the phone and then you will receive a good proposal with the content of your job and the terms of employment by e-mail. Will you join the Belsimpel family?

7. Entry into service

Congratulations, as of today you are truly part of the Belsimpel family. We are really looking forward to have you working with us!

Belsimpel Assessments

Depending on the position you apply for, we may ask you to do one or more assessments during the process. These assessments are truly tailored to Belsimpel, we have developed them ourselves. The phase(s) of the process in which you will receive these differs per position, this can be before the first interview or in between interviews. We will inform you as much as possible about what to expect and how to prepare.

This is important to us:

That we know who you are and you know who we are.
Not an attack of questions, but a good conversation
Above all, be yourself and let us know why you want this.

Procedure study-related side job

The application process for a side job in a supportive team is relatively extensive. In these side jobs, it is possible to get acquainted with work in your own field. You do not so much have a 'side job', but rather an introduction to a full-time job, in a part-time job. For these side jobs we have an extensive application process to find out if there is a match between you, Belsimpel, and the job content.

Procedure operational side jobs

The application process for a job in an operational team concerns the side jobs for e.g. Team Customer Service, Team Subscriptions, Team Returns & Repairs, and Team Shipping & Delivery. These require more general skills and your orientation to your future job is less important. Nevertheless, we have the same high bar when it comes to your fanaticism and match with the Belsimpel culture.
